About Sophie

Sophie Shear grew up a native of Nashville and started singing professionally around age 10. Primarily a studio singer, she worked on a range of projects, from children’s sing-alongs to demos for Faith Hill. Since her sound had to adapt, Sophie was able to grasp and understand numerous styles and genres, which allows her to mold each singer individually at any stage of their artistry.

Sophie possesses a unique and remarkable ability to “see” what’s happening inside of a voice with her ears. Her expertise includes range extension, increasing power, pitch control, tone clarity, and style application. Sophie also applies an aspect of music mentoring to her sessions.

Sophie’s students come from all walks of life; independent artists, recording artists and those in ministry. But they all take away the same understanding, that her methods work. Sophie works with recording artists on labels such as Universal Records, Now records, INO Records. She also works with singers appearing on shows such as American Idol and The Voice.
